At the home page, I read your interest includes H&N surgery.
This post is for the list, but specially for you and H&N surgeons.
I am finishing a study with head and neck cancer patients, screening for
associated assintomatic esophageal carcinoma. The region where I live has a
high incidence of esophageal cancer (around 27/100.000 hab). I have found
16,7% (7 out of 43) of patients with assintomatic esophageal carcinoma and
surprisingly just one (2,3%) esophageal low grade displasia.
What is your experience with this?
Do you do routine esophagoscopy in H&N cancer patients?
